Hi guys! I am more than happy to share with you today’s post as I know that a lot of you struggle to find a perfect place to have a barbeque. We had the same problem!
I found a list of places in Ireland where you can have a barbeque but a lot of them were down in the County Kerry which was quite too far for us. But finally, we’ve managed to find a perfect place in perfect location.
If you still don’t know what I am talking about, why should you? It’s Rathbeggan Lakes, in County Meath, somewhere between Dunboyne and Dunshauglin. It is a park with a lot of activities for kids, so we weren’t sure what we can expect but it was THE perfect place.
Rathbeggan Lakes, is not just about lakes. You can find here a fair garden, small zoo, water activities, places for barbeque. It is a great place for families – the kids will not get bored here. But is also perfect for groups like ours.
Their is a small fee for entrance – €5, the kids under 2 years old are coming for free. All the addition costs you can find here – Price list. Below I’ve attached a small map where you can find all activities and have a look how this place looks like. Unfortunately this park will be closing on the 1st of September because the costs of the insurance were way too big so if you want to visit this place, you need to hurry up 🙂
As you can see we had a lot of fun, we really liked this place. It is sad, that this will be closed, as this means that we have to find a new place for barbeque. At least till the time when we got a house with garden to have the barbeque at home 😉
